Comfort Zones is published

Over Christmas I interviewed my mother; we talked about her childhood growing up in a psychiatric hospital in the 1950s, becoming an actress in ‘60s London, and her late-life career appearing at horror conventions. It was a strange experience, a kind of exercise in social history that started personal but ended up becoming a broader conversation about our generations’ different experiences and changing attitudes towards everything from contraception to mental health. Now our conversation has been published in this beautiful book to raise money for Women for Women International. There is also writing from Olivia Sudjic, Farrah Storr, Elizabeth Day, Zing Tsjing, Emma Gannon, Victoria Spratt, Natasha Lunn, Poorna Bell and more. 100% of the £9.99 price goes to Women for Women International.
